What Is My IP Address?
See your public IP and the network information your browser exposes. Transparent about what is local and what is not.
Your public IP is NOT detected locally. It is fetched via a third-party API call to api.ipify.org. Your request goes to that provider, which returns your IP and nothing else.
Browser metadata (browser, OS, screen) is detected locally and never transmitted. Your IP is not persisted by YEAH! for analytics. See methodology.
What does this tool do?
Shows your public IP address and basic browser/network metadata. Useful for diagnosing connectivity, checking VPN/proxy configuration, or understanding what your browser reveals.
How to use it
- The page loads automatically — no action needed.
- Your public IP appears in the first row.
- Browser metadata is listed below.
How it works
Your public IP is fetched from api.ipify.org, a minimal third-party API that returns only your IP address. Browser metadata is detected locally via the navigator and window.screen APIs.
Privacy — special audit
This tool requires special privacy review because it involves a third-party API. Your IP is sent to api.ipify.org to be returned to you. YEAH! does not persist your IP for analytics. The provider's privacy policy applies to their logs. If you use a VPN, the IP shown is the VPN's exit IP.
Frequently asked questions
- Is this my real IP?
- It is your public IP as seen by the internet. If you use a VPN or proxy, it shows that IP instead.
- Can you detect my VPN?
- Browser-based VPN detection is probabilistic, not certain. We do not claim to reliably detect VPNs.
- Do you store my IP?
- No. YEAH! does not persist your IP for product analytics.
